All Jabra headsets, both Consumer and Enterprise solutions, feature a technology that protects a user’s hearing against sudden, loud sound spikes. The basic hearing protection found in all Jabra headsets is called Jabra PeakStop. Acoustic experts typically define acoustic shock as exposure to sounds over 135 dB SPL, although lower sounds can also damage the hearing. All Jabra headsets cut off sounds at 118 dB SPL RMS (Root Mean Square). The majority of Jabra Enterprise solutions offer an additional level of hearing protection called Jabra SafeTone. Jabra SafeTone consists of the basic Jabra PeakStop protection plus the enhanced Jabra IntelliTone protection. Jabra SafeTone follows the guidelines within international health and safety directives to protect employees and users against the dangers associated with long term cumulative exposure to noise.

Keep your product clean by following these best practices for hygiene. 1. Apply normal dish soap and water to a cloth, making sure you wring out excess liquid so the cloth is not dripping wet. Use soap and water only – do not use strong cleaning agents. 2. Gently wipe the product, making sure there is not a layer of suds on the surface. 3. Let it rest for at least one minute. 4. Rinse the surface by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth using water only. 5. Let it dry. 6. When the product is not in use, keep it clean by avoiding contact with dirty surfaces. Dock it in the base, or store it in the protective case/pouch, if the product came with one of these options.

Sidetone is audio feedback from one’s own voice that a headset/headphones user hears when speaking into the microphone. Voice is picked up by the microphone and transmitted to the speaker. You can typically adjust the sidetone level on a Jabra device.

To manually set your Jabra device as the default audio device, follow these steps. 1. Open the Sound settings on your computer. For example, in the taskbar, right-click the Sound icon, and then click Open Sound settings. 2. In the Output and Input sections, select your Jabra device from the drop-down lists. If you are using a Jabra wireless device, select the connected Bluetooth adapter, such as the Jabra Link 380.

1. Open the Windows Control Panel. 2. Click Sound. 3. On the Playback tab, select the headset to adjust, and then click Properties. 4. Click the Levels tab. 5. Adjust the level of the side tone. If you cannot hear your own voice, increase the level of sidetone. If you hear too much of your voice, decrease the level of sidetone. 6.Click OK.
